(Just keep in mind, the source audio is mega-distorted from really old vinyl.)Įdit: I know this isn't really entirely LMMS related, but I figure its a good place to start asking this question. Literally, any input welcome on this topic. With the setting available to me, whenever I do something the audio becomes distorted or has static. Tried SDL according to guides but that produces no sound. ![]() If I had 2 versions of every track (1 clean, 1 "dirty") it wouldn't be a problem, but the only way I can think of to accumulate a dataset is to scrape a bunch of old vinyl samples and they are all basically distorted.there is no "clean" sample to compare to. LMMS has distorted audio Wyzai Posts: 8 Joined: Thu 11:59 pm by Wyzai Fri 12:08 am Only one of my sound settings works (Portaudio / MME / Speakers). My main problem at the moment in the design thinking phase is the data-set. I am not too familiar with the complexities though, such as how to create and prepare the dataset, which training models to use and how to implement the required methods to train an AI (in other words, the most difficult and complex parts). I know enough python to figure out how to webscrape and fill a folder with a few thousand+ tracks, and enough c#/python to maybe use a c# or python library for machine learning. Does something like that exist already on github that I can just modify and/or script?Īm I crazy to think: That might not be as impossible for me to make even from scratch at the moment if I really really tried? Should I consider trying to learn to make some elaborate machine learning program to remove the noise better than is humanly possible? Even if it takes many hours per track at first. Are there any other free solutions out there, that can really clean a source audio track up well? And there is no way I am going to manually edit sound waves to remove vinyl distortions and noise artifacts that remain lol.Įither way, the samples I want to use are really heavily distorted and filled with noise. However, I don't think it will be enough. I saw after a quick google search that I can maybe use Audacity to clean up some samples a bit. Is this something I can do with stock LMMS in a very basic way? (For the less distorted samples I want to use)
